What are the contents of laboratory safety inspection?
System construction:
(1) Whether the rules and regulations, operating procedures, etc. are complete and posted on the wall;
(2) Whether the laboratory safety responsibility system is sound;
(3) Whether there is an emergency plan (chemical, biological, radiation);
(4) Whether there is a responsible person sign at the door of the laboratory.
Safety responsibility system:
Has a two-level responsibility system of college (department) and research institute (laboratory) been established?
Safety inspection record:
The laboratory shall establish a safety inspection record to record problems and rectification completion status.
Sanitary environment:
(1) Whether lab coats and protective glasses are worn during experiments;
(2) Whether food is cooked or eaten in the laboratory;
(3) Whether waste items are not cleaned up in time;
(4) Whether electric vehicles or bicycles are parked in the laboratory;
(5) Whether personal belongings are piled up in the laboratory;
(6) Whether anyone stays overnight in the laboratory.
Fire safety:
(1) Is there a no-smoking sign in the laboratory?
(2) Is the configuration of fire-fighting equipment reasonable?
(3) Is the fire passage unobstructed?
(4) Is there any phenomenon of stacking instruments and items in public passages?
(5) Is there any phenomenon of using open flame electric stoves without approval in the chemical laboratory?
Electrical safety:
(1) Is there a phenomenon that the circuit capacity is not suitable for high-power equipment?
(2) Is there a phenomenon of randomly connecting wires, using braided wires, or using wooden distribution boards?
(3) Is there a phenomenon of aging wires?
(4) Is there a phenomenon of multiple high-power instruments using one wiring board?
(5) Is there a phenomenon of not turning off the power of the instrument in time after use?
(6) Is there a phenomenon of placing the wiring board directly on the ground?
Ovens and resistance furnaces:
(1) Check the fault conditions and whether they have been in service for an extended period of time;
(2) Check whether there are gas cylinders or flammable and explosive chemicals around the ovens and drying ovens;
(3) Check whether there are any phenomena that affect the heat dissipation of the ovens and drying ovens (such as debris piled up around them);

Anti-theft safety:

(3) Are there any anti-theft and monitoring facilities at the storage locations of highly toxic substances, pathogenic microorganisms, radioactive sources, etc.?
Chemical reagents:
(1) Is the storage location safe?
(2) The safety of acid and alkali cylinders (marking, location, cover?);
(3) Are there large barrels of reagents piled up?
(4) Are there large amounts of chemicals and organic solvents mixed?
(5) Are there any chemical reagents with unclear labels?
(6) Are there any reagent bottles stored with their lids open?

Highly toxic substances:
Whether the “five pairs” management system is implemented: two people receiving and sending, two people using, two people transporting, and two people keeping with double locks.

Exhaust emissions:
(1) Whether there are laboratory waste classification containers;
(2) Whether there is mixing of laboratory waste and domestic waste;
(3) Whether there is any dumping of waste chemical reagents into the sewer;
(4) Whether there is any pile of laboratory waste outside the laboratory door;
(5) Whether there is any random discharge of toxic and harmful gases, and whether there is a gas absorption device.
Gas cylinder safety:
(1) Are there any residual discarded cylinders stored?
(2) Are there any gas cylinders that are not fixed?
(3) Are there any hazardous gas cylinders mixed (mainly combustible gas cylinders and oxygen and other flame retardant gas cylinders mixed)?
(4) Is there any problem of insufficient ventilation in the storage area of hazardous gas cylinders?
(5) Are there any large numbers of gas cylinders piled up?
(6) Is there any problem of forgetting to close the safety valve?
(7) Are there any corresponding gas marks on the gas cylinders?
(8) Are the connections of gas cylinders stored in independent gas cylinder storage rooms standardized?
(9) Is there a dedicated person to manage the independent gas cylinder storage room?
(10) Are the gas connection pipelines inspected?
