How to effectively prevent laboratory accidents in colleges and universities？

1) Students entering the laboratory must receive safety education, consciously obey management, strictly abide by the laboratory's rules and regulations, and strictly abide by the operating procedures of instruments and equipment.

2) Before the experiment, you must carefully read the textbooks, experimental reference books and related reference materials, prepare experimental preview reports, and make all preparations before the experiment according to the requirements of the teacher. Some laboratories require necessary standard clothing.

3) After entering the laboratory, you must strictly obey the guidance of the experimental teacher, take your seat according to the designated seat, sign, and abide by safety rules. It is strictly forbidden to wear vests, suspenders, slippers, high heels, etc. into the laboratory; it is strictly forbidden to smoke, spit, throw paper scraps, and not eat or drink water in the laboratory.

5) During the experiment, you must not leave your post at will, and pay close attention to the progress of the experiment.

7) Operate, debug and test according to the experimental requirements, and record the experimental data truthfully.

8) During the experiment, if there are any difficult problems, ask the instructor or laboratory staff in time; students are not allowed to replace or disassemble experimental instruments and equipment at will, and it is strictly forbidden to disassemble instruments and equipment privately.

9) If abnormal phenomena occur during the experiment, the experiment should be stopped immediately and emergency treatment should be carried out. The experiment can only be continued after the instructor eliminates the fault.

10) Operate gas cylinders correctly and be familiar with the colors of various cylinders and the properties of the corresponding gases. The chemical waste liquid generated by the experiment should be collected and stored according to organic, inorganic and highly toxic categories, and it is strictly forbidden to pour it into the sewer.

11) After the experiment is completed, the water valve, electric switch, gas valve, etc. should be carefully checked, and the instruments, equipment and connecting wires should be returned to their original places. Arrange the tables and chairs, clean the environment, and leave the laboratory only after the instructor's inspection and approval. The last staff to leave the laboratory should complete a thorough inspection.
