EPA also provides information on environmental financing services and programs to state and local governments and small businesses. EPA also provides other financial assistance through several programs: the State Drinking Water Revolving Fund, the State Clean Water Revolving Fund, and Brownfields Cleanup and Reuse.

3、Conduct environmental research: With research laboratories located across the country, EPA is committed to assessing the environment to identify, understand, and solve current and future environmental problems; integrating the research results of scientific partners, including state agencies, private organizations, academia, and other institutions; taking the lead in identifying emerging environmental problems and improving the scientific and technological level of risk assessment and risk management.

4、Sponsoring voluntary partners and programs: EPA, through its headquarters and field offices, works with more than 10,000 plants, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and state and local governments on more than 40 voluntary pollution prevention and energy conservation programs. Partners set voluntary pollution management goals, such as saving water and energy, reducing greenhouse gases, significantly reducing toxic emissions, recycling solid waste, controlling indoor air pollution, and controlling pesticide risks. EPA rewards voluntary partners with important public recognition programs and access to the latest data.
